    At Berkshire Greenleaf & Wellness, we utilize Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) along with other evidence-based therapeutic approaches to help you navigate life's challenges and achieve your personal goals. Therapy can offer new perspectives, deepen your understanding of yourself, and improve the way you relate to others.

    While therapy can be highly beneficial, it is important to recognize that the process may sometimes bring up difficult emotions or painful memories. You may experience feelings such as sadness, guilt, anxiety, anger, or frustration as you work through challenging experiences. Open communication with your therapist is essential, as it allows us to support you through these emotions and develop healthy coping strategies in a safe and effective manner.

    Family therapy can be beneficial for families who are experiencing communication challenges or seeking to resolve ongoing conflicts.     Through this process, family members can strengthen their relationships, gain new insights, and build healthier patterns of interaction.

    Family therapy may include all family members or only those who are willing and able to participate.

    I am available to provide clinical supervision for individuals working toward licensure for their LCSW or LICSW.

  • Reiki & Energy Balancing

    Reiki is a gentle Japanese energy healing practice that promotes relaxation, stress reduction, and overall well-being. Many people describe Reiki as a supportive experience that helps them feel more balanced, grounded, and connected to themselves.

    During a Reiki session, the practitioner places their hands lightly on or just above the body to facilitate the flow of energy. Sessions are conducted with clients fully clothed, either lying comfortably on a treatment table or seated in a chair, depending on personal preference and comfort.

    Reiki encourages deep relaxation by calming the mind and nervous system, creating space for the body to restore balance and support its natural healing processes.

    What to Expect During a Reiki Session

    Each person's experience with Reiki is unique. Some individuals report sensations such as:

    • Warmth or coolness

    • Tingling or gentle vibrations

    • Feeling light or heavy within the body

    • Seeing colors or visual imagery

    • Deep relaxation or sleepiness

    • A sense of peace and calm

    Others may not notice any physical sensations during the session, and that is completely normal. Reiki can still provide benefits regardless of whether specific sensations are experienced.

    Following Reiki, it is important to give yourself time and space to integrate the experience. There is no "right" or "wrong" way to feel after a session. Many clients report feeling deeply relaxed, lighter, more grounded, or emotionally refreshed. Others may notice subtle shifts over the following days, while some may not experience noticeable changes at all.

    Every person's experience is unique, and your body will respond in the way that is most appropriate for you.

    Supporting Yourself After Your Session

    To help maximize the benefits of your Reiki treatment, consider the following self-care practices:

    • Drink plenty of water or herbal tea to stay hydrated

    • Rest when your body asks for it

    • Take a bath or spend time in a calming environment

    • Eat nourishing foods

    • Spend time in quiet reflection or nature

    • Journal about any thoughts, feelings, or insights that arise

    • Be gentle with yourself and honor your needs

    For a few days following your session, you may also choose to reduce caffeine intake and avoid substances that may interfere with your body's natural ability to rest and restore.
